Here I am bundled under my Slanket, rough as old toast, looking thoroughly white and spiteful...but I care not a jot...because I've been shortlisted for the Cosmo Blog Awards!!!!
You'll probably already know if you follow me on Twitter or live within screaming distance of my house, but I actually had no idea until Skye rang me late last night. When she said 'You need to go online now' I thought my readers had staged some sort of mutiny against me or something, I had no idea what was going on!

I was beyond surprised to have made the shortlist, I know everyone says that, but lets be honest my blog is small and very niche and I never expected to get very far, especially when I compare my blog to others in my category, including the lovely girls at Where Are My Knees? 
Its great to be in the company of so many blogs I love, read and admire, so good luck to everyone who made the shortlist across the categories.

I know my posts have been few and far between recently but I 100% love my blog and I put my all into it, and all the lovely comments, tweets and emails I receive from you gorgeous lot keep me feeling inspired and encourage me to carry on writing and thinking of new posts and recipes.

1. Despite my fear of the dark I wear an eye mask to bed.

 2. I like my orange juice warmed in the microwave for 30seconds. I don't even know why.

3. I'm a terrible coward, my list of fears is endless...heights, deep water, kids, spiders and eyeballs...happily not needles.

4. For the past 2 weeks I've been sucking a dummy at night because I read online it could help me stop clenching my jaw at night. Sexy.

5.My favourite book when I was a kid was Sophie's Snail by Dick King Smith

6.My favourite book now is a toss up between The Secret History by Donna Tartt and Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks.

7.I used to work at Gap, it was the best job I've ever had, namely because we got to wear radio head sets and could do Britney dance routines in the fitting rooms

8.I once tricked my mum into putting mustard on her sunburn when we were on holiday in Majorca. I broke the news that I made it up 3 days later.

9. I'm unashamedly obsessed with all things Disney, my favourite holiday is Florida and Disney World, I'm currently working on The Boyf to get married at The Disney Wedding Pavilion. He said he's rather blow his brains out.

10. I have a talent for accents. My speciality is Australian.

1. I'm a freelance (read unpaid) writer and researching my first book

1. Why did you create this blog?

I was desperately bored, and it seemed a way to sort of 'evolve' my writing, if you like. I loved the other blogs I was reading, which were mostly fashion type mosts, and there was no way I'd be putting pictures up of my pasty face, so I started blogging about something I know a lot about..eating and baking, specifically gluten-free baking.

2. What kind of blogs do you follow?

Travel, fashion, food, lifestyle.There's so many great blogs and some really brilliant writers. The Internet  is throwing out some great new writers who will go on to do big things one of these days. Gem from FromGemWithLove  is especially engaging and interesting writer, she'd write the sort of book/novel/article which you would never be able to put down and her photos are always beautiful. I really admire the fashion blogger's, a you've got hand it to anyone who have the kudos to put pictures of themselves and their outfits up and ask for opinions, and they get so much sh*t as well, you have to admire the likes of Gemfatale,Vipxo, LLYMLRS and Milkteef, they are all lovely girls but they come in for some serious (and totally unjustified) flack! I'm also seriously in love Lua Los Angeles, her food is yummy, comforting and straight talking.

3. Favourite makeup brand?

Mac and Clinique.

4. Favourite clothing brand?

Topshop, ASOS, and Primark and All Saints.

5. Indispensable makeup product?

Clinique 3-step, Clinique super balance makeup,Mac strobe cream.

6. Favourite colour(s)?

Pink, orange, navy and grey.

7. Favourite perfume?

YSL-Elle, Michael Kors For Women, and Dior's Miss Cherie.

8. Favourite film?

Pan's Labyrinth, The Pianist, Into The Wild.

9. What country would you like to visit and why?

France, I'd like to go back to Ypres and The Somme.
